Vogue Magazine and Current Fashion Trends in Central Park
I admit I know next to nothing about fashion. For me, wearing a T-shirt and matching sweatpants is the pinnacle of my dabbling in the fashion world. On the other hand, if I was about to lose my girlfriend like Christopher Middleton in Central Park Story Book One, and thought that studying a copy or two of Vogue might save the situation, I’d probably have bought myself a lifetime’s subscription.
Naturally, it took me some time to figure out the difference between a Valentino and a Gwen Stefani dress–light years apart, so it turns out! And what member of the male species is aware that Vera Wang designs wedding dresses, not casual wear? Not me, anyway. But if I hadn’t put my nose to the grindstone and started to make sense of the intricacies of the fashion industry, Ashley, Christopher’s girlfriend, might never have looked at him again and Christopher might have been left crying in his matching sweatpants and T-shirt.
